KANDY: Oral cancer claims a life every eight hours in Sri
Lanka, a University Convocation was told.
Professor Seiman Warnakulasuriya addressing the General Convocation
2006 of the Peradeniya University, identified arecanut and betel as
containing agents which causes mouth cancer.
He said Sri Lanka has one of the largest incidence of oral cancer
which could kill an individual. |
