Chillies 2007 unveiled
AD AWARDS: Sri Lankaâs advertising, marketing and media
fraternity is renowned for their distinctive flair. The Chillies 2007
Steering Committee lived up to the claim, as it unveiled the theme for
Sri Lankaâs biggest advertising and marketing event for the year.
Themed âInside Insightâ, this yearâs advertising awards show embodies
the philosophy of insights-led creativity. Stemming from a view that
powerful communications are born from powerful ideas which are a
reflection of thoughts, experiences, fears, joys and aspirations of the
consumer, the theme seeks to celebrate the vision to look within for
inspiration to create world class creative communications.
Chairman of the Committee S. Srikanth noted, âadvertising without
creativity is like winking at a girl in the dark. You know what you are
doing, but others donât notice it. Likewise creativity needs to stroke
your audience by being relevant to their value systems, by striking a
chord.
âThen only are we able to create memorable communications that are
world class. Our vision is to use Chillies as a means to raise the bar
of creative excellence within our industry by striving for diversity,
dynamism and world class execution.â
Chillies 2007, is a week long gamut of activities ranging from
workshops to exhibitions and festivities that culminate in the finale;
the awards night scheduled for May 12. |
