LTTE suspect’s death: Inquiry on

COLOMBO: The Deputy Inspector General of Police (CID), Asoka Wijetilleke has instructed a police team under a Senior Police Superintendent to hold a preliminary disciplinary inquiry in respect of two police officers who were in charge of the LTTE suspect who allegedly hanged himself.

The Post Mortem JMO report relating to the death of the LTTE suspect is due to be filed in Court on March 2.

According to CID sources, the medical report confirms that the suspect has come by his death by hanging himself and that there were no internal or external injuries on the body to suspect of any other cause for his death.
