Four boxers for Iran

BOXING: Sri Lanka will field a four-member team for the FAJR International Invitation Boxing Championships which will be worked off from March 2 to 6 in Tehran, Iran.

The four boxers who will represent the country are T. B. Harshakumara (Slimline BC), K. S. C. N. Alexander (Unichela BC), A. E. N. Bandara (Sri Lanka Army BC) and A. S. S. Wettasinghe (Sri Lanka Air Force SC). In addition R. A. Indrasena will also accompany the team as coach cum manager.

This is the first time since 1994 that Sri Lanka are fielding a team of boxers to Iran. Some of the top boxers from Asia and Europe are expected to participate in this meet.
