Sripathy Suriyaarachchi ridicules Forces

COLOMBO: Government dissident Sripathy Suriyaarachchi yesterday belittled the efforts of the Armed Forces valiantly battling the LTTE by stating that they (troops) merely invaded deserted areas and report that the LTTE retreated.

“The battle should be fought in Mullaithivu and Killinochchi. But what they are doing is attacking abandoned towns and boast that the Tigers fled,” he said at a joint press briefing with fellow dissident Mangala Samaraweera.
