Sri Lankan film festival in Ottawa

COLOMBO: The Canadian Film Institute jointly with the High Commission of Sri Lanka in Ottawa, will present four award-winning contemporary Sri Lankan films at a Sri Lankan film festival in February.

The film festival will commence on February 4 coinciding with the 59th Independence Day.

The films screening will take place at the National Library Auditorium and Archives of Canada, 395 Wellington Street, Ottawa.

February 4 at 7 p.m. - 'Guerilla Marketing'; on 11 at 7 p.m. - 'Against the Tide'; on 24 at 7 p.m. - 'Shadows of White'; and on 25 at 7 p.m. - 'Mansion by the Lake' will be screened.

This is the second Sri Lankan film festival in Ottawa. The first Sri Lankan film festival was held in Ottawa in March/April 2004 at which four award-winning Sri Lankan films were screened.
