Boxing Nationals from Jan. 30

BOXING: The 81st National Boxing Championships organised and conducted by the Amateur Boxing Association of Sri Lanka will be worked off from January 30 to February 2 at the Sugathadasa Indoor stadium in Colombo.

The meet is open to all male and female boxers who are over seventeen years and below 34 years on January 30th, 2007.

Only boxers who have qualified to participate in major events are eligible to compete.

The events that will be worked off in the men's category are light fly weight under 48 kgs, fly weight under 51 kgs, bantam, weight under 54 kgs, feather weight under 57 kgs, light weight under 60 kgs, light welter weight under 64 kgs, welter weight under 69 kgs, middle weight under 75 kgs, light heavy weight under 81 kgs, heavy weight under 91 kgs and super heavy weight under 91 kgs.

The events that are lined up in the women's category are under 46 kgs, under 48 kgs, under 50 kgs, under 52 kgs, under 54 kgs, under 57 kgs, under 60 kgs, under 63 kgs, under 66 kgs, under 70 kgs, under 75 kgs, under 80 kgs and under 86 kgs.
