Colombo BC in 72-70 win over Wattala

BASKETBALL: Colombo Basketball Club beat Wattala Basketball Club 72 points to 70 in their Colombo Super League men's 'A' division basketball match played at Depot Police courts on Wednesday. The winners led 41-37 at half-time.

Rasika Prabath (18) and Mithila Abeysekera (17) did the bulk of the scoring for Colombo BC while Maxwell Saranapala (19) and Prageeth Pushpakumara (18) stood out for the losers. Colombo Bulls edged out Sri Lanka Air Force by 60 points to 59 in another men's 'A' division match played at the same venue on Wednesday after trailing 28-30 at half-time.

Men's 'A' division played at Depot Police:

Colombo Basketball Club beat Wattala BC 72-70. (Half-time: 41-37).

Highest scorers for Colombo BC - Rasika Prabath 18, Mithila Abeysekera 17 , Roshan Randima 10, Jagath Kulatunga 10.

For Wattala BC - Maxwell Saranapala 19, Prageeth Pushpakumara 18, Sanketha Jayaratne 10.

Men's 'A' division at Depot Police:

Colombo Bulls beat SL Air Force 60-59. (Half-time: 28-30).

Highest scorers for Colombo Bulls - Vibavi Ankegama 22, Anushka Vishvanath 10.

For SL Air Force - Ravi Dodangoda 23, Asanga Perera 13.

Men's 'B' division:

Red Devils beat Ambalangoda BC 74-64. (Half-time: 26-29).

Highest scorers for Red Devils - Smith Perera 25, Andrew David 18, Nimantha Perera 12).

For Ambalangoda - Harshadeva Yasaratne 26, Gemunu Sandaruwan 14, Nuwan Milinda 8.

Today's Matches:

5.30 p.m. - Annites vs CIS (men's 'C' division)at Depot Police.

7 p.m. - Colombo BC vs Air Force at Depot Police.
