Superb double by Dileepa

CRICKET: Negombo Central College scored an outright victory over fancied Sri Sumangala College Kandy in their inter schools cricket match played at Nugawela over the weekend.

The highlight of this low scoring match was the fine all round performance by Dileepa Gayashan who had a match bag of 8 wickets for 71 runs ( 3 for 43 and 5 for 28) with his off spin and 59 runs (35 and 24) with the bat.

J.N. Dissanayake of Sri Sumangala College also bowled very well to grab a match bag of 10 wickets 57 (5 for 27 and 5 for 30) but could not save his side from defeat. D.T. Dharmasiri of the same school scored the only half century of the match with 54 runs.
