Anthonians enter semis

CRICKET: Anthonians SC, Wattala edged out Moratuwa SC by nine runs in their SLC P. Saravanamuttu Trophy Division One limited overs cricket tournament quarterfinal match played at Reid Avenue recently.

Anthonians SC will now meet Rio SC, Ambalangoda at the CCC Grounds, Maitland Crescent while Kurunegala SC will confront Nugegoda SC at Havelock Park in the two semifinals scheduled for this weekend.

Anthonians SC: 212 in 50 overs (Shehan de Silva 29, Lahiru Chaturanga 59, Sagara Wijemane 70, Sanuka Dinesh 2 for 32).

Moratuwa SC: 203 in 47.1 overs (Lakruwan Fernando 57, Sajith Rupasinha 3 for 43, Gayan Fernando 2 for 55).
