Co-op movement in all schools to build co-existence among children

KAHAWA: The Education Ministry is to launch the co-operative
movement in schools inslandwide. This is in order to build a future
society equipped with moral values and co-existence. This programme will
be popularised among schoolchildren from this year, a spokesman from the
Education Ministry told the Daily News.
He said Co-op movement will be set up under the guidance of the
co-operative development ministry.
The spokesman said, the sole aim of the project is to inculcate moral
values in the minds of children, to promote co-operation among each
other, through the school co-operative system from childhood.
He said, Regional Education Directors will have to seek the
co-operation of Regional Co-operative Development officers in their
endeavour.
The spokesman said, accordingly, the Education Ministry and the
Co-operative Development Ministry will make a united effort for the
success of the programme. |
