it was held in Sri Lanka for the very first time with the participation
of 12 teams from India, Pakistan, UAE, Bangladesh, South Africa, Dubai
and Bahrain with their respective Country Managers in attendance.

Trophy many other awards were presented to outstanding players.

thrilled to be awarded with the Best Batsman's trophy at my first ever
Cathay cricket encounter. I think this type of events not only help
build team spirit but also the understanding among staff members of
different countries. I'm happy to be working for an airline that
promotes human connections through these type of events."
All teams were hosted for dinner at Mount Lavinia Hotel where the
awards were given to the winners by Tom Wright, General Manager Middle
East, India and Africa. Julian Lyden, Country Manager for Cathay Pacific
Colombo and Maldives said, "Cathay Colombo is honoured to host the
Cathay cricket teams in Sri Lanka and it has indeed been a pleasure
interacting with staff and players of these countries.
It has been a great exercise where team spirit and understanding was
practised using sports a common link. I'm very proud of the victory of
the Colombo team and we are indeed looking forward to the next
encounter."
