CRICKET: Prasanna Jayawardena, the Sri Lankan wicket keeper who starred in Sri Lanka's 217-run victory over New Zealand in the final Test at the Basin Reserve in Wellington, suddenly took ill and was operated on for appendicitis, according to manager Michael Tissera.
