President, Ranil meet today

COLOMBO: President Mahinda Rajapaksa will meet Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe at Temple Trees this morning.

The discussion will focus mainly on the MoU signed between the two main parties last month.

The President and the Opposition Leader will try to reach a consensus on how to obtain the optimum benefit for the country from the MoU signed, in the backdrop of the latest developments in the country.

Other matters of interest included in the MoU are also to be discussed at length.

President Rajapaksa and the Opposition leader fresh from their visits to India, are also due to discuss the outcome of their talks with their Indian counterparts and other leaders.
