Probe into Kotelawala's statement

COLOMBO: Minister Keheliya Rambukwella responding to a question at the media briefing on what steps the Government plans to take relating to Lalith Kotelawala's recent statement said that the Government would take legal steps against Ceylinco Group Chairman Lalith Kotalawala if the Gulf News Agency report was found to be correct.

Kotelawala was alleged to have made a statement in an interview with the Gulf News Agency that the LTTE was not a terrorist organisation but a liberation movement and that if the LTTE disarms itself, the Government must also lay down arms.
