It was sadness in parting
After reciprocating affection
Her face still etched in my mind
Soft deep grey eyes in her
Pouring out care and endearment
A musical voice alluring
Aptly suited for peace and kisses
She became an epitome
In my mind she was the one
Like a beautiful flower
Blooming under the sun
Still I feel her fragrance
Emanating around me
Perhaps equal to a rose
She was my friend so cherished
The lovable sister I longed for
Now I blame myself in remorse
Immaturity snatched reason
Leaving me in solitude
Covertly she wanted me to grow
Undoubtedly to be an adult
Time has passed by and gone
Memories still remain hurt
She is now past her prime
While her youth still remain
Like a wilted dry flower
Still retaining its colour
