MBSL evening seminar on 'Fraud Prevention for Businesses'

SEMINAR: Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka Limited (MBSL) has organised an evening seminar on Fraud Prevention for Businesses November 27 at Hotel Trans Asia.

This seminar will enable businesses to enhance knowledge and read up on fraud and theft in the areas that affect your business and how to be aware of the potential of fraud in many situations, role of auditor in controlling fraud and other considerations in the prevention and detection of corporate fraud.

The specific areas that will be focused are fraud by customers, fraud by employees and fraud by vendors and suppliers.

The speaker for this seminar is Chairman of the Bank of Ceylon, Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka Ltd. and Merchant Credit of Sri Lanka Ltd Udayasri Kariyawasam, who is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka counting over 13 years of experience, a member of Certified Practising Accountants (CPA), Australia and a Fellow of the Society of Certified Management Accountants, Sri Lanka.

He is also a senior member of the Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka, a Member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE) in the USA and a Registered Company Secretary in Sri Lanka.
