saints soccer battle at the Sugathadasa Stadium today

SOCCER: The 17th annual battle of the saints soccer encounter between the traditional rivals St. Joseph's College and St. Peter's College for the Stanley de Silva challenge trophy will be played at the Sugathadasa Stadium today.

Kick off is at 4.30 p.m.

St. Peter's lead the series with nine victories against their opponents seven wins. The Peterites are the holders of the trophy having won last year's game 2 nil at the same venue.

The chief guest for the match will be Ajmal Mowjood a distinguished old boy of St. Peter's College.
