COLOMBO: The thirtieth Inspector General of Police (IGP),
Victor Perera yesterday met President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees.

The IGP had presented to the President his proposed work plan within
the police service. He vouched to support the President's concept of
producing a law-abiding and peace-loving society in the country. The IGP
at this meeting, had availed the President on the stoppage of work in
the construction of the official residencies for police officers.
President had instructed the IGP to re-commence the construction. |
