Eraj steers Old Thomians to a seven-wicket win

CRICKET: A sparkling knock of 124 not out by Old Thomian Eraj Sirisena helped the Old Thomians to beat Old Royalists by seven wickets in their annual encounter played in Toronto, Canada recently.

Old Royalists batting first made 239 all out in 41.5 overs helped by two fine knocks by former Sri Lanka Test cricketer Rohan Jayasekera (97) and Eddie Jayawardena (75).

The Old Thomains reached the winning target of 240 for the loss of three wickets in 37.3 overs helped by Sirisena's superb knock inclusive of 14 boundaries and four sixes.
