CINEC ties up with Australian university

COLOMBO: Colombo International Nautical Engineering College (CINEC) signed an agreement with the University of South Australia (UniSA) in Adelaide, whereby, our students will be able to complete two years of Engineering Degree at CINEC and balance two years at the UniSA in Adelaide.

Further, CINEC singed a very significant and important agreement with the world's largest Maritime University - The Dalian Maritime University in China, few weeks ago. Signing an agreement with UniSA is a landmark in the history of CINEC, said captain Asitha Wijesekara, Managing Director of CINEC.

He made these comments on the occasion of signing an agreement at CINEC at Malabe with Rob Greig - Director International Aftain, UniSA Peter Bardadyn - Business Development Manager UniSA.

Also associated in the signing ceremony were Dr. Greg French - High Commissioner for Australia, Hemantha Jayanetti, Chairman of Ceyline Group, Lucky Wickremanayaka Deputy Chairman, Palitha Wijesuriya, Director International Finance Edlocate.

"This agreement is indeed a major step forward for Sri Lankan youth, as so far, such arrangements with foreign universities with regard to Engineering Degree programmes have not been arrived at by any other institution in this country," said Capt. Wijesekara.
