FCCISL sponsors 15 tsunami hit enterprises at SummerFair

SPONSORSHIP: Back to Business project of FCCISL sponsored 15 rehabilitated enterprises to provide market linkage opportunities for their products at the SummerFair exhibition, recently held at Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Center (SLECC) Colombo.

It was a very successful event for all enterprises, who participated as they collectively generated sales exceeding Rs.1.36 million while securing many important linkages and steady orders.

Evaluations carried out revealed that every participant was thankful to the project for this opportunity.

"We not only had a good sale and secured orders but also this was an opportunity to learn about the new markets and how to cater to them" proprietor of Gem Look Garments said.

The market/corporate linkage component of the Project is financed by the Embassy of the Netherlands.

Nominated by respective district Chambers of Commerce who are the partners of the project, 15 Back to Business Enterprises participated at the exhibition comprised of one enterprise each from Trincomalee and Ampara districts, four from Matara, five enterprises from Galle, two from Hambantota and two from Kalutara districts.
