Int'l Coconut Day celebrations

BANDIRUPPUWA: The International Coconut Day will be celebrated from August 2 to 5 at the Coconut Research Institute (CRI), said Bandiruppuwa CRI Director Dr. (Mrs) C. Jayasekera.

The celebrations to mark the occasion has been organised by the Coconut Research Institute (CRI) in collaboration with the Coconut Cultivation Board (CCB) and Coconut Development Authority (CDA) which is under the Coconut Development Ministry.

The exhibition would display to the stakeholder, the modern technology that is being used in promoting the Coconut Industry and programme to educate the public on pest control, use of , how certificates of quality are issued in respect of the coconut based products and marketing.
