Royal paddlers clinch eight titles

TABLE TENNIS: Royal College clinched eight titles at the Western Province Junior Ranking Table Tennis Championship-2006 conducted by the St. Johns sports club, Nugegoda in collaboration with the Western Province Table Tennis Association (WPTTA). The event was worked off at the S. Thomas indoor stadium, Mt. Lavinia last weekend.

Under 10 boys singles: Champion: Harshamal Dassanayaka (Royal College). Runner-up: Kulanaka Asel Hendahewa (Royal College).

Under 10 Girls singles: Champion: Masthoora Amavi (Buddhist Ladies College). Runner-up: Ruwani Kannangara (Musaeus College).

Under 12 Boys singles: Champion: Himasha Ranathunga (Royal College). Runner-up: Pasan Bimsara Kavikeshawa (Royal College)

Under 12 Girls singles: Champion: Zameela Jiffria (Girls High School, Mt. Lavinia). Runner-up: Thilini Nadeesha (Girls High School, Mt. Lavinia).

Under 15 Boys singles: Champion: Dulan Nakandala (Royal College). Runner-up: Samitha Aberathna (Royal College).

Under 15 Girls singles: Champion: Vidushini Malavige (Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo). Runner-up: Chaushalya de Silva (Musaeus College).

Under 18 Boys singles: Champion: Buddika Walagampola (Royal College). Runner-up: Sahanaka Ganegoda (Royal College).
