Tennis gala at Hilton

The annual Tennis gala conducted by the Hilton Colombo Residence will be held from July 14 to 23 with the collaboration of HSBC bank at the Hilton Colombo Residence sports centre.

Twelve events will be staged as follows:

Men's and women's open singles.

Men's and women's doubles.

Boys and girls under 12 and 14 singles and doubles. This tournament will be an Open event for everyone and all events will be limited to a draw of 32 competitors. Peter Simson, Chairman- General Manager Hilton Colombo Residence stated that this will be a fun event with a party surrounding.

The winners and the runners up of men's and woman's open singles and doubles will be awarded cash prizes along with the trophies and certificates while the age groups winners and runners up are to be awarded trophies and certificates.

The entries will close at 6.30 p.m. on July 10 and the seedings will be displayed by 6.00 p.m. on the following day. The draw is scheduled to be held at 6.30 p.m. on Wednesday 12th and the presentation ceremony will be held at 6.00 p.m. on Sunday 23 at the Hilton Colombo Residence.
