Arms cache seized in Meetiyagoda

MEETIYAGODA: Meetiyagoda Police have arrested two suspects along with five hand grenades, three electric detonators, normal detonators and 60 mm motor pouches. They were detected from a house in Weragoda, near Meetiyagoda.

According to Police, these seized bombs are rocket propelled grenades which can be used for attacks. The suspects have told the Police that the ammunition and weapons were brought and kept by one of their brothers work for the Special Task Force.

Police are questioning the suspects. On the directive of Elpitiya SSP J.U. Ramawickrama, Meetiyagoda Police are conducting further investigations.
