COLOMBO: The University of Colombo will hold its Postgraduate
Convocation to confer Postgraduate Degrees and Diplomas to 1,151
students who have successfully completed their studies, at the BMICH on
June 5.
Archbishop of Colombo Most Rev. Dr. Oswald Gomis, who is also
Chancellor of the university will confer the degrees as chief guest.
University sources said the convocation will be held in two sessions.
A total of 547 students will receive their diplomas at 9.30 a.m. and at
the 2.30 p.m. session, 11 will receive their Doctorate in Philosophy and
200 will receive doctorate in Medicine.
Three hundred and ninety three students will receive their Masters in
Philosophy, Art, Public Administration, Library and Information Science,
Master of Science and Masters in Teacher Librarianship, the sources
