PARTNERSHIP: Caltex Lubricants Lanka Limited in collaboration with
the Ceylon-German Technical Training Institute (German Tech) has
introduced a new industry training programme for selected students on
the dynamics in the lubricants market.
Caltex Lubricants Lanka Limited, has developed a successful
relationship with the German Tech over the years in an attempt to gear
future generations with training in areas of technological developments
and to provide students with both the theoretical and practical
knowledge. Caltex formed an alliance with the German Tech in February
2002 introducing a number of special training programmes for their
students.
One such programme was training on 'Lubrication and its applications'
which has now been incorporated into their final year syllabus.
The new training programme which was recently launched by Caltex for
the German Tech students is designed to provide them with direct
exposure to the industry's market.
Under this training programme students will liaise with consumers and
industry personnel to understand and study consumer buying behaviour.
The programme is designed to enable students to gain both the
technical knowledge and a practical overview of the market.
