Lankans accord Education Minister a warm welcome in Brisbane

BRISBANE: In a recent official visit to Brisbane to attend
Asia-Pacific Education Ministers' Meeting and International Education
Forum 2006, Minister of Education Susil Premajayantha, was accorded a
warm welcome by the Sri Lankan Community in Brisbane.
He was featured and interviewed by the Brisbane Community Radio
Station in a 30 minute programme titled "New Trends in Sri Lankas
Education and current Educational Reforms."
After the Radio Programme, a reception was accorded to him and a
meeting was held by the Sri Lankans at the Brisbane, Queensland
Community Radio Station Auditorium in honour of Minister Susil
Premajayantha.
This meetings was organised by Anton Swan - Honorary Consul for Sri
Lanka in Brisbane, Dr. Jayasiri Weerawardane of UQ Business School
University of Queensland academics and the Sri Lankans domiciled in
Brisbane, Australia.
