Launch of Buddhist publications to mark 2550th Buddha Jayanthi today

COLOMBO: The launch of a cluster of Buddhist publications authored by many renowned University professors and writers and published by Saraswathie Publishing Institute at Divulapitiya takes place from 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. today at the National Museum Auditorium, Colombo. The books are brought out especially to mark the 2550th year of the Buddha Jayanthi.

Ven. Prof. Vegama Piyarathana, Mahopadya of Sri Lanka Buddhist and Pali University will preside the meeting while the Speaker of the House, W. J. M. Lokubandara will present the books to the writers.

Prof. Sumanapala Galmangoda at the Buddhist and Pali Institute of the Kelaniya University and Ven. Prof. Devalegama Medhananda will deliver the talks.
