Market up

BOURSE: The market was up yesterday. The All Share Price Index (ASPI) went up by 2.46 points to 2185.42 points and the Milanka Price Index (MPI) also rose by 10.56 points to 2792.60 points.

The total equity turnover was Rs. 178.3 million for the day.

The net foreign inflows were Rs. 11.4 millions with foreign purchases registering Rs. 84.7 millions and foreign sales registering Rs. 73.3 million during the course of the day.

The total market capitalization was Rs. 666.9 billion for the day.

The top five gainers were Seylan Bank (R), Kapila Heavy (N), Peoples Merch (N), Asha Central (N), Onally (N). The top five losers were Dankotuwa Porcel (R), Keells Hotels (N), Vallibel (N), Three Acre Farms (N), Talawakelle (N).
