New era dawns for national unity under Mahinda Chinthana - Mowlana

BENTOTA: Western Province Governor Alavi Mowlana, said a new era has dawn in the Sri Lankan history for national unity under Mahinda Chinthana where all the communities could live amicably. The Governor was speaking at the inauguration of road renovation schemes in the Beruwala pradeshiya sabha area under the Maga Neguma programme.

Various development programmes will be implemented in the rural sector under the present Government on the instructions of the president, he said.

'The opposition members are crossing over to the United Front Government as they are attracted by the president's policies'.

"I call upon the people of Beruwala to rally round the present Government under the guidance of Minister Rohitha Abeygunawardane.

He said that as soon as the united front government came into power many pledges given to the public during the election campaign have been fulfilled.

Minister of foreign employment and the deputy minister Post and Telecommunication Rohitha Abeygunawardane, Marjana Faleel and Amjaad, engineer also spoke.
