Indira feted as successful woman entrepreneur

HONOUR: Indira Senanayake Kulatilake is the first South Asian woman to be featured in a book titled " A History of Success" launched and presented to Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand Suwat Liptaplanlop at the tenth Gala celebrations of the Leading Women Entrepreneurs of the World TM in Bangkok on March 20, 2006.

Kulatilake is one of the first Sri Lankan women entrepreneurs to be recognised by the Star Group USA as one of the Leading Women Entrepreneurs of the World in 2003.

606 women were selected from many countries as Leading Women Entrepreneurs of the World since 1997.

Kulatilake was selected as one of 50 honourees to be featured in the 10th Anniversary Book, A History of Success.

The article titled " Weaving a Legacy" quotes Kulatilake as "Have a vision, be brave, but most importantly remain humble. These qualities will take you right to the top".

Annually the Leading Women Entrepreneurs of the World collectively generate more than USD 200 billion for the global economy and employ more than 500,000 people around the world.

Each year 10 to 15 new women are inducted into the organisation at the group's annual gala and celebratory event.
