SLMM says striving for talks breakthrough
The Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission yesterday said
they were working on various issues including the transport for
Eastern cadres to attend meetings in Wanni, to achieve a
breakthrough on the peace front.

Jaffna calm after curfew
Tension eased in Jaffna yesterday evening as the
curfew, imposed in the entire Jaffna peninsula as a precautionary
measure to prevent an outbreak of violence over the missing youth in
Chavakachcheri, was lifted at 4 pm.
