Standard Chartered cricket Credit Card launched
CRICKET: Standard Chartered Bank announced the launch of the Standard
Chartered Cricket Credit Card - the latest product offering that has
been specially created to meet the differing needs and customer
lifestyles of users at a press briefing held at the Cinnamon Grand
Colombo on Friday.
The card comes loaded with special value additions and incentives for
the cricket lover. Speaking at the launch Regional Head of Credit Cards
and Personal Loans for Middle East, South Asia and Africa, Standard
Chartered Bank, B. Chandrasekhar explained " We are a British Bank with
a strong franchise and focus in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa
and Zimbabwe all countries where cricket is a passion - which is why we
have developed this value proposition, which is being rolled out
regionally ".
The card which is being introduced in conjunction with Master Card
offers the first 500 primary applicants a free Sri Lankan cricket team
track suit, discounts at the Cricket Shop, Austasia International Sports
Complex and the Asian Cricket Academy.
Also on the cards are opportunities to meet with famous cricketers,
win tickets to international matches as well as coaching camps for
cardholders' children.
All these will be in addition to the features and benefits associated
with Standard Chartered Credit Cards - such as their year long offers,
bonus point loyalty programme that provides one bonus point for every Rs.
100 spent on the card as well as special seasonal offers.
The launch was also the platform for the cricket talk show featuring
Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer, former Pakistan captain Ramiz Raja and Kumar
Sangakkara. Former Sri Lanka cricketers Sidath Wettimuny and Brendon
Kuruppu along with chairman Cricket Shop (pvt) Ltd Nuski Mohamed also
graced the occasion. |
