APC meets today

COLOMBO: An All Party Conference headed by President Mahinda Rajapakse will be held at the Presidential Secretariat today.

The party leaders will discuss the outcome of the February 22-23 Celigny talks and the forthcoming talks also at the same venue.

This will be the third APC chaired by President Rajapakse.

He is expected to brief the party representatives on the truce talks. Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickremanayake and several senior ministers will participate.

The UNP delegation is expected to be led by Deputy Leader Karu Jayasuriya.
