UNP Pannala PS member joins Government

PANNALA: Pannala UNP Pradeshiya Sabha member Piyal Attanayake has decided to extend his support to the Government at the invitation of Media Minister Anura Priyadharshana Yapa.

He said what influenced his decision was the realisation that he could provide a better service to the area through the Mahinda Chinatana programme.

He also said the programmes undertaken by the Government had greatly benefitted the people and the fertiliser subsidy being a good example.

He said President Mahinda Rajapakse is easily accessible to the small man where any matter could be discussed with him in a cordial atmosphere.

On the other hand the grass roots supporters of the UNP is unable to meet the top leadership of the party.
