LG Poll: Court dismisses UNP's writ application
The Court of Appeal yesterday dismissed the writ
application filed by the UNP General Secretary that sought to hold the
Local Government Election in terms of the new 2005 electoral register.

UNP nomination lists to be submitted from Feb. 13 to 15
Nomination lists of UNP candidates contesting the
forthcoming Local Government Elections will be submitted at District
level on February 13, 14 and 15, UNP Deputy General Secretary Tissa
