COLOMBO: The eight suspects including the UNP Western Provincial Council Member Duminda Silva who are suspects in the case of assault on Hector Bethmage, the W.P Provincial Council Minister at Pelawatte were ordered to be released on personal bail in a sum of Rs 25,000 each by Kaduwela Chief Magistrate and Additional District Judge Champa Janaki Rajaratne yesterday (07).

When the case was called yesterday the victim Bethmege was not present and his wife came before the magistrate and informed that her husband was warded in hospital due to a sudden heart ailment.

Thalangama police prosecuted assisted by Attorney-at-Law D.P.P. Kaurnaratne, Wickum Sumanadasa and W. Dharmaratne while Attorney-at-Law Kalinge Indatissa, Kamal Wijesiri and Nuwan Jayawardena defended.
