12 member team tipped for Geneva talks

THE Government delegation to the Geneva talks is tipped to comprise 12 members with three ministers, officials and the military, sources told the Daily News yesterday.

The sources said the team will include the Navy Commander, President's Counsel Faiz Mustafa and the Peace Secretariat Director General Dr. John Gunaratne.

At the weekly Cabinet press briefing on Thursday, Media Minister Anura Priyadharshana Yapa officially announced that the Government delegation to the Swiss capital will be led by Health Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva.

The full Government team, the exact location and dates for the talks is expected to be officially announced this weekend.
