Colombo Port wins National Productivity Award

Sri Lanka Ports Authority was awarded the "National Productivity Award" organised by the Productivity Secretariat - Ministry of Labour Relations and Foreign Affairs, in 2005. In 2004, Jaya Container Terminal of Sri Lanka Ports Authority won the first place of the National Productivity Award - large organisations - service category.

In 2005, Mahapola Training Institute of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority won the merit certificate - medium scale service category. In 2005, medium scale service category first place was not awarded to any organisation in Sri Lanka. National Productivity Award is the highest achievement to be won by a Sri Lankan organisation, either government or private sector company.
