Cypriot Consul-General praises peace efforts

Consul-General of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in the Republic of Cyprus Doros Jeropoulos praised President Mahinda Rajapakse's efforts to bring peace to the country.

Consul-General Jeropoulos who met the President at Temple Tress on Sunday wished him all success in his peace effort.

The Consul-General wished President Rajapkse on behalf of the Sri Lankan community and the friends in Cyprus for peace and economic development in the country.

President Rajapakse had requested Consul-General Jeropoulos to promote trade, communication and investment in Sri Lanka.

Consul-General Jeropoulos speaking to the "Daily News" said that he obliged with President Rajapakse's request and said he would do his best to promote trade and bilateral ties between the two countries.
