CDL attracts tanker for Drydock repairs



MT.Stolt Nanami - accommodated at CDL’s 125,000 DWT drydock during the seven-day drydocking call.

T. Stolt Nanami (19,932 DWT) under the charter of Stolt-Nielsen Transportation Group managed by V Ships MSI, Singapore called at the Colombo Dockyard Limited (CDL) for the first time for her first intermediate drydocking repairs.

The drydocking call was planned by the CDL/ vessel managers in advance. The chemical tanker arrived in Colombo on January 11, 2006. CDL had programmed the vessel to be accommodated in the Dock No. 4 (125,000 dwt drydock) on arrival along with MV. Omo Wonz a Ro-Ro vessel. The tanker is owned by Makino Kaiun Co. Ltd Japan.

Colombo Dockyard Limited operating in collaboration with Onomichi Dockyard Co. Ltd. Japan, started 2006 on a high note attracting Stolt-Nielsen Transportation Group B.V tanker for repairs. Thus emphasising to the international ship owners / managers the comprehensive repair facilities available in Colombo, Sri Lanka to meet the requirements of the world's leading fleets.
