Students' deaths: President wants probe

President Mahinda Rajapakse has directed a senior Deputy Inspector General of Police to probe the deaths of five students in Trincomalee on Monday.

The senior DIG conducting the inquiry has also been instructed by the President to take action if anybody is found responsible for the incident, irrespective of their rank and position.
