Health camp at Moneragala
 

A major health camp has been organised by the Lions clubs of Dehiwela North and Moneragala on November 27 at Uva Hospital, Moneragala.

Uva Hospital (Pvt) Limited is sponsoring the project.

Over 100 patients are to be screened for vision, diabetes, B/P, dental and general health by medical professionals. Spectacles and necessary medication will be provided free of charge and this will be continued at regular intervals to maintain continuity to the benefit of the patients, District Co-ordinator of the programme Loin S. Ramachandran said.

District Governor Lion Rohantha De Fonseka of Lions Clubs International - District 306 A2 together with Lion Clubs of Dehiwela North President Lion Percy Warnakulasuriya and Lions Club Moneragala President Lion W.M. Pemarathne and Lion S. Ramachandran MJF are deeply involved in this major project to serve the needy in Moneragala district.

Sight Conservation District Chairperson, District 306 A1 Lion Daya Wijetunga will give his fullest coorporation to screen patients for vision. Provincial Director of Health Shelton Chandrasiri and Provincial Pharmacist will extened their assistance to make this a successful camp.
