Lankan addresses business leaders of the UAE

Nalin Jayasuriya

Managing Director and CEO of McQuire Rens & Jones (Pvt) Ltd. and McQuire Rens Consulting (Pvt) Ltd Nalin Jayasuriya has been invited to address CEOs and top managers in the UAE on "Attributes for successful entrepreneurship."

This programme, organised by the Business Council of the UAE, will be held in the latter part of November at the Flora Grand Hotel, Dubai.

The Business Council has previously organised such presentations by Tom Peters, Stephen Covey, Zig Zigler and other distinguished management gurus.

Jayasuriya will also speak on the possibilities and the potential for UAE industrialists and businessmen to source business opportunities and start business operations in Sri Lanka.

There is much potential for a business boom leading to economic growth and value addition in Sri Lanka, if the political rulership of the country religiously and genuinely seeks to promote free and liberalized enterprise, backed by good governance says Jayasuriya.

Before returning to Sri Lanka, he is also contracted to conduct a two and a half day training programme in Dubai, on "Building confidence and assertiveness" for programming staff of a leading global airline.

Some of the areas that he will cover in these sessions will be, emotional intelligence, inter-personal skills, introverts vs. extroverts, personal effectiveness, positive thinking, stress management and team work.

Jayasuriya is a management consultant to several blue chip and multinational companies. He also carries out executive coaching for the top teams at Ceylon Tobacco Co. Ltd. and New Zealand Milk Products (now known as Fonterra Brands Lanka (Pvt) Ltd).

He is a management and HR trainer of international repute and has trained over 1,000 managers in Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Poland, Kenya, India, UAE, Maldives and Sri Lanka.
