Roshini Trade to set up plant here

Roshini Trade International Ltd (RTI) a large scale importer of tube
lights and glass bulbs is to diversify its business into manufacturing
in Sri Lanka shortly as Roshini Lit Lanka.
The Managing Director RTI, D.C. Rawat said that Rs. 20 million has
been invested in this project out of which Rs. 15 million will be for
machinery imported from India while labour and raw material will be
indigenous.
The site for the factory is earmarked in the outskirts of Colombo on
a one acre area. Being already familiar with the manufacturing of this
products which are now imported from India manufacturing them in Sri
Lanka is hardly a hurdle, Rawat said.
His ambition is to be an ambassador of goodwill to Sri Lanka and
India bringing them together closer while advancing his business goals.
RTI began business in Sri Lanka in mid nineties has became a giant in
the import arena by now. Among other items that RTI imports are MS Black
and GI pipes, roller shutter accessories, gate channel, tea and rice
mill machinery spares, jute hessian and yarn. |
