For Economic Development got a boost with a Rs. 4 Billion funding
from the Asian Development Bank to increase land and labour
productivity to retain the country's comparative and competitive
position as a tea exporter.

Budget incentives for companies formed outside
Colombo
The budget has identified the need of
strengthening the local enterprises in the country and for the first
time it has introduced SME focused strategies which will vastly
improve the micro, small and medium scale industries in the country
said Minister of Advanced Technology and National Enterprise
Development Rohitha Bogollagama at the 10th Export and Enterprise
Development Forum last week.
