The opening of the revamped Post-Polonnaruwa/Pre-Kandy and Kandy
Kingdom Galleries at the Colombo National Museum was held on
Wednesday. Minister of Cultural Affairs and National Heritage
Mahinda Yapa Abeywadene was the chief guest. HSBC undertook a Rs 4
million partnership with the Colombo National Museum to revamp and
fully refurbish the post-Polonnaruwa/Pre-Kandy and Kandy kingdom
galleries to preserve the rich cultural and historical heritage of
Sri Lanka. The Minister and HSBC Deputy CEO Sarath Piyaratne after
the opening. |
