Art poster contest

The Industrial Safety and Health Association will conduct an art poster competition today to mark National Safety Week which falls in the second week of October.

Entry to the competition was free of charge and posters will be exhibited at the Galadari Hotel from 9.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Each poster submitted has been approved by the Company/Organisation in which the participants is employed.

The posters have been designed under three themes. They are productivity through occupational safety and health machine/mechanical safety at the workplace, and let us create a healthy workforce.

Prizes will be awarded under each of the themes to those who qualify. The final entries will be judged by a Tripartite Panel of Judges conversant with Occupational Safety and Health.

This event is being sponsored by the International Labour Organisation Colombo.
